Non climbing zones can be one of the most difficult pool fence issues to cater for. They generally solve two problems:

a) Non-Climbing Zones (NCZ) - All areas on the outside of a pool fence MUST create a barrier of at least 1200mm high. 
So for example if you have a 600mm high planter box on the outside of the pool fence, or a 600mm retaining wall, the panel of glass MUST be at least 1800mm high; a distance of 1200mm ABOVE the existing retaining wall or planter box examples.

b) In addition to the NCZ, any highest point or corner of either example of planter box or retaining wall must have a barrier within a '900mm Arc'.

That is, from the corner, any point within 900mm of arc pivoting around from the corner, must have a barrier installed.
